Yes, I can see what you mean. It must be terrifying to think you might have to be totally responsible for your own life. Which is going to tough for you. I can tell just how brilliant you are from your intelligent comment.

TheLibertine,

I know what you mean. She probably could never write a book that would sell well either...

Oh wait...

Maybe we're wrong.

Palin has quite a bit in common with Chairman O: camera ready, but with no qualifications. She will not get my support.

Well, "no-name" I'm only a fan of Palin as an individual. Frankly I hope she stays out of politics, which I believe corrupts everyone involved with it.

I'm not opposed to Wendy, personally, but think her personal animosity toward Palin speaks volumes about a basic fault in her principles. As for her important work, I haven't see that it has had any effect in all the years she's been promoting her variety of feminism. Since all "-isms" are pseudo-ideologies with "emotional" rather than "rational" basis, the results are predictable. I admire her stand for individual liberty, but am sorry she does not see that individual liberty means total liberty for all individuals, especially for those who hold values and principles different from our own. It is Wendy's inability to appreciate other's who live by principles (with no desire to impose them on others) even when one disagrees with those principles, that is her failure.

Thanks so much for the comments.

Funny to come across this article. I liked Palin and defended her whole-heartedly when she was running for office.  But as of late I have been following Wendy's blog on liberty.  I didn't know of her "hate" of Palin.  However, I have to say that Wendy seems somewhat harsh in her libertrian leanings and logical underpinnings. But...you will thank her later.  The work she does is equally as important as Palin's.  IMHO, might even be more important.  You might want to give her another look.

Hi Pamela,

Really meant to respond to this earlier.

Love you apt description of those unhappy "sour faced females." Sometimes you really can look into a persons soul, just looking at their face.

Of course you are right about the jealousy, which must be very great, since none of them can help blathering on, revealing their irrational rage to the world, all because she is what they can never hope to be and has done everything they will never be able to do.

What strikes me as odd is that these women, who may not be intellectual giants, are also not stupid. They like to dabble in philosophical ideas (which are almost always a mixture of very good and very bad). But their attacks on Palin are never intellectual or philosophical, but catty and personal.

I do not agree with many things that Palin obviously believes. But I admire her for the most important thing, whatever she believes, she lives by her principles, and is an individualist, and displays that kind of personal self-assurance (and enjoyment of life) that only a total sense of personal integrity (what Rand meant by self-esteem) makes possible. Ultimately these unhappy ladies are illustrations of what a disintegrated personality is and does.

Of course, that's the other thing that so many people hate about Palin. She is so obviously happy and successful, but believes everything they loath—the fact that someone can be genuinely happy (something they will never understand or experience) and not agree with their "academically superior ideas" drives them crazy.

Her children (who are also obviously very happy) also drive them crazy. For one thing, she has some--something else most of these women will never know; and for another, they are learning how to live life, while the children of the academics, if there are any, are learning how to be "team players" and how to recycle their trash and prevent global warming.

That's enough. Thanks so much for the comments.

You know, I never did like that McIlroy woman and could never quite put my finger on why.  I know why now - she's a mixed up psuedo academic fake. Like that other one, you know, the noodle vendor. (Some site called noodle food or something. Can't remember, so awfully insignificant).
I think another reason they (these sour faced females) hate Palin on top of those you cite, is that Palin loves and is obviously loved by a good looking "real' man.  Envy on many counts, but I've read vitiriolic hatred of her from youthful sounding males too, and that's clearly of the "I cant do a damn thing, and she can, does, and has" variety.  I did like that straight out "you're not listening to me" cos it was that straight talking the McCain crew wouldnt let her do, and now she can.

I Liked seening the kids being taken out to learn to steer a boat and fish and be cold and wet and not grizzle. God what a change from the majority, and how set up for life they are being. No wonder the useless fake wannabe psuedo academics who make up the public face of the democrats are terrified of her.
