Is there a second American Revolution brewing? Perhaps there should be. The following by Jim Robinson, founder and owner of
Free Republic is an example of the growing mood and attitude of people in America:
The unlawful federal government's takeover of the financial, banking and insurance industries was just a prelude to the planned complete unconstitutional Marxist takeover of all of America.
Your nearly trillion dollar per month spending habits have bankrupted our country. You're running up our taxes and the national debt, saddling future generations with enslaving burdens of taxes and debt that they can never repay.
You've taken over car manufacturing companies, illegally wiping out the stockholders, bondholders and distributors and awarding the remaining assets to the labor unions or other political cronies of your choice.
You are wasting trillions of our hard earned dollars on foolish and ill advised so-called attempts to stimulate the economy, but are actually being used to reward political cronies, criminal political organizations like ACORN, government employee unions, entrenched government employees, corrupt government officials, etc.
Your administrations, departments, agencies, bureaucracies and congressional offices are fraught with crime, graft, bribery, corruption, waste, ineptitude, incompetence and worse.
Your planned destruction of the oil, gas, coal and energy producing sectors will cripple our economy, raise costs for every product and service manufactured, provided, transported, or delivered in our nation.
Your idiotic socialist policies will increase our taxes, increase our costs at the wholesale and retail levels, bankrupt our businesses small and large, drive up unemployment, drive up foreclosures, drive up personal bankruptcies, cause banks to fail, drive up unemployment and entitlement costs and make it all but impossible for city, state and local governments to provide basic services.
Your incompetent, ill advised and cowardly foreign policies, international agreements to weaken our defense systems while at the same time crippling our heavy manufacturing, raw goods, transportation systems and our economy in general are making our nation a sweet target for our enemies who wish to destroy us.
And now you want to takeover our health care industry. You want to control our health insurance industry to the point that government has a monopoly. Drive out all private insurance and private health care providers. You want government bureaucrats making our personal health care decisions for us. You want government bureaucrats to make life and death decisions for us, determine who is worthy to receive health care and who should be allowed or even encouraged to die.
Well, sirs. This is the end of the line. The free American people will not allow this tyranny to stand!
Vote yea on this bill, sign it, try to enforce it and you are signing a declaration of war on we the people of the United States of America.
Advise you dust off and study the Declaration of Independence dated In Congress, July 4, 1776 to learn your fate.
Fill your hands you sons of bitches!
Rebellion is brewing!

Why No Revolution Yet?
It is clear to anyone who knows what the American Federal Government has become that a revolution is long overdue. As Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independence:
"... whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, [individual rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness], it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and ... when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government ..." [Emphasis mine.]
If you read the responses on Free Republic to Jim's excellent article, it is clear, if a revolution were begun today, there would be no shortage of patriots to both support and participate in it. But, those responses also explain why there is, as yet, no revolution—because no one understands how the revolution can be pulled off.
The underlying mood of nearly all the responses to the article was, "frustration." The desperate desire to do something is almost palpable.
One poster expressed the frustration with the fruitlessness of demonstrations, for example, this way:
"... doesn't matter if it is 1 million or 30 million they will not pay any attention unless there is fire or destruction. ... We are in a catch 22. We don't have enough support for a real signing of a new Declaration of Independence and we cannot just burn innocent people's things."
This is not France, after all. It is not the kind of revolution that is needed. This is the United States, it is America, and the kind of revolution that is needed is not the kind they have in Bolivia (we will not be able to have the American Military "throw the bums out") or Iran (because thousands of people being shot or maimed in violent protests accomplishes nothing).
I have nothing against all the "Tea Party" protests around the country, especially if they make more people aware of what is going on in Washington. Unfortunately, even if they double in size, or grow to ten, a hundred, or even a thousand times the size they are now, they will change nothing.
The only other alternative that is being offered is violence, but as the poster I quoted points out, the destruction of property, and harming individuals, is contrary to all the principles of individual life, liberty, and property this revolution is all about. Two wrongs never make a right.
Be sure, if the current government continues to become more oppressive and totalitarian, violence is coming, and it will be very ugly and very bad. When people find their medical care is cut off, and they are losing their jobs, their savings, their homes, and their children, they will become desperate, and they will become violent, but it will be the violence of despair, pointless and destructive and very very cruel.
Revolution, The American Way
First, everyone who understands this revolution is necessary must understand they are in the right. It is your moral obligation to defend the truth, yourself, and yours from the oppressive destructive evil that threatens every aspect of you and your family's life as well as everything of value in our economy and society. You do not need to apologize for being against everything this government and those who are running it are doing and stand for. You do not have to apologize for naming what they are—tyrants, thugs, frauds, parasites, and criminals.
To fight them, you must not become what they are. This revolution is noble and honorable, and must be carried out with all the courage, dignity, and dedication to principle that such an enterprise deserves.
The first step in this revolution must be the resolve of every individual to understand and know that it can and must be done.
But what can be done, and how can it be done?
The Purpose of Revolution
One the of problems with any intended revolution is a lack of clear goals, a well defined set of objectives. Until it is perfectly clear what we intend to accomplish, it is impossible to determine exactly what action needs to be taken.
The general purpose of the revolution is to stop the continued destruction of this country's economy, society, and individual freedoms by this oppressive government and to begin the process of reversing all the destructive laws, agreements, (with other countries, for example) and bureaucratic regulations that have already been put in place.
But how can that be accomplished short of overthrowing the government and jailing or executing all the criminals? There is no doubt they deserve nothing less, but again, this is not France.
They have to be encouraged to leave on their own, before someone less reasonable (or desperate) decides to hold their own private revolution, trial, and execution.
An Example
The novel, Atlas Shrugged, is enjoying a great resurgence in popularity, mostly because it so perfectly illustrates what happens in a country taken over by the kind of tyrannical collectivists and socialists now infesting every aspect of today's American government. There is a revolution described in that book which was both noble and non-violent.
Essentially, it was a strike by every important creator, thinker, and producer in the country. No government creates anything of value, and all it has, or finances, or "redistributes," is first taken from those who do create and produce. By ceasing to produce, the strikers cut off the government's source of the "fuel" which powered its engine of oppression.
That kind of strike will not work, however, because there are too many sources of this government's extorted funds, and when it cannot steal anymore, it just prints more funny money; and there are too many "producers" that have neither the understanding or moral courage to participate in such a strike.
While that kind of strike will not work, there is another kind that will. The strike will have to be specific and aimed at a specific result. Here is an example.
One group of Americans who are going to be hurt by ObamaCare are the medical professionals. There is already a shortage of medical professionals in several medical fields, and that shortage is growing as more doctors and others give up the profession because of the already oppressive nature of government regulation and unreasonable court-encouraged litigation.
Medical professionals need to declare they are going to go on strike for a day, on a specified day, unless ObamaCare, and all other government intrusions into the medical field are reversed, and every individual in government who contributed to these laws, in any way, resigns. If that strike does not accomplish its purpose, it will be followed by a second strike for a full week. If that strike does not produce the desired results, there will be a third strike for a full month; and if necessary further strikes of two months, then four, then eight.
Why This Will Work
The reason this will work is because most medical professionals know what a disaster for their profession, and for the whole field of medicine, government intrusion already is, and how destructive these new measures are going to be. In one sense, they have nothing to lose by going on a strike that is not going to be taken away from them anyway. Many of them are going to quit, too, when all they have lived and worked for is destroyed before their eyes—why not strike first.
For some, it will take no encouragement at all to carry this revolution out. Others will have to be encouraged, and the first part of the revolution needs to be as massive a positive propaganda program as possible to reach every medical professional in the country. Of course the strikes will have to be organized, and everyone who possibly can contribute in any way, even if only offering support for participating medical professionals, will be making the revolution a success.
What government always counts on when it decides to intrude is that creative and productive individuals will willingly submit themselves to their government masters. The government cannot supply a single band aid, much less an entire country's medical care. All they can do is force or bribe (with other people's money) those who can provide medical care to do it. It never occurs to these tyrants to ask, what if those who can provide medical care, the physicians, surgeons, and nurses, will not practice their profession, or simply are not there. Are they going to force the surgeon to perform that appendectomy on their child at the point of a gun—or bribe her to. Who would trust such a surgeon?
Pre-emptive Strikes
The medical strike example is one that can be applied in a number of fields. The basic principle is to foresee exactly where any government action is likely to be destructive and harmful, and to intentionally and pre-emtively act to eliminate or minimize the object of government intrusion. Is a particular government action going to damage a particular industry, such as all of industry that relies on oil? If all such industries planned a series of "strikes" until the threat (and people who caused it) were removed, such intended government intrusions could be stopped, or where they already exist, be removed. Of course it will cost such companies money and possible trouble, but if their industry is going to be destroyed, what have they got to lose?
One of the most important aspects of these plans is that the individual's responsible must be specifically named, and their action (resignation) must be specifically spelled out. This revolution will only work if those rebelling refuse to compromise and have the character to finish the battle.
Strikes are not the only methods the new revolution can use. Some of the methods cannot be publicly disclosed. Those will be communicated to verified patriots by secure methods. Those secure methods, and other strategies for carrying out the new American Revolution will be covered in subsequent articles.
