Islam Resources

First, I apologize for the redundancy in the title since Islam and terrorism, these days, mean virtually the same thing. In the past, and even today, there have been and are small groups that occassionally engage in acts of terrorism, but no other group, movement, or ideology has embraced terrorism as an essential principle or practiced it as systematically and cruelly as the Muslims.

Islam is a backward, irrational, oppressive ideology—nothing else could embrace evil with such delight. The terrorism of Islam is intentionally cruel and vicious, targeting the innocent and the helpless with attacks designed to cause the maximum possible pain and suffering.

The Autonomist's main interest is individual liberty. Why does the Autonomist emphasize Islam?

Islam is the impossible to ignore example of all that is wrong with superstition, multiculturalism, and our governments. Our governments, on the one hand, do everything in their power to keep us all convinced we are in imminent and mortal danger from terrorism, while on the other hand, they assure us it is not Islam that is the source of that threat. This is totally backward and could not be more wrong. It is a symptom of a very dangerous obfuscation of the truth, more dangerous than either Islam or terrorism.

Every single terrorist attack, from Bali, to Spain, to the daily horrors of Palestine and Israel, to the atrocities of 9-11 in the US, have all been perpetrated by Muslims. There is only one terrorist threat, Islam.

The truth is, however, most of us are in no danger of suffering from a Muslim terrorist attack. If we lived in Israel, there would be more of a threat, and in this country, living in cities probably increases the threat a little. Most of us will never be anywhere near a terrorist attack. The real danger to us as individual is not Islamic terrorism, or even Islam itself. The real threat to us is the stupid policies our government, blinded by multiculturalism, and pandering to paranoia, foists on all of us.

Islam is the enemy of civilization. It despises all human freedom, culture, and Western advances. It aims to make a universal Caliphate of the entire world, and to replace all government with rule by the Koran and Sharia law. In Europe, the process is progressing very nicely. They will simply take over by virtue of outnumbering non-Muslims. The unlimited migration of Muslims to Europe (and the United States) is the result of the multicultural prohibition against saying what Islam really is. While we spend billions of dollars around the globe, and send our troops to every backwater tin-pot dictatorship in the world, to kill and be killed, Muslims stream across both borders, north and south.

Since these resources clearly demonstrate the true nature of Islam, its methods, and its intentions, I will let them speak for themselves.

"A burgeoning black Muslim movement in America includes many who converted to the religion while behind bars and who are ready-made terrorists as soon as they leave prison, according to several Islamic and terrorism experts ..."

What kind of generosity is it to teach thousands of Muslim children to know only hatred for the "infidel"? What kind of self-restraint does it require to not bomb and kill vacationers in Bali? What kind of discipline is at work to commit suicide for the sole purpose of killing innocent people by flying commercial jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon?"

"A Dutch Muslim woman, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, had to flee the Netherlands because she said that Muslim men traditionally oppressed Muslim women. A death fatwa quickly followed."

In this interview, Egypt's "Grand Mufti calls Falwell a terrorist, but says suicide bombers simply are ´defending their land.´"

"It is no secret that the Saudi government supports terror. Fifteen of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers were Saudi nationals. Saudis most likely funded the attacks, at least in part, and the wife of the Saudi ambassador to the United States allegedly funneled money to the Sept. 11 terrorists. The Saudis raise money for the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. The Saudis practice a radical form of Islam called Wahabbi-ism, which promotes the imperialistic spread of Islam through jihad."

"The Saudi Arabian government views our culture as its enemy, yet it rushes to stuff American colleges with money. It uses our universities as propaganda machines. It uses them as research facilities."

"With some 20 million Moslems, Western Europe is increasingly having to face the issue of their unwillingness to play by the historic rules of immigration – assimilation and respect for national laws. ... the more "tolerant, progressive and open minded" a country, the more likely that such problems become critical. "Question: what happens in a society where "slandering" Muhammad, which is punishable by death, can entail the smallest disagreement with an Islamic law or even the hint of the support of a Western idea? How can a culture grow when a voiced social criticism of any kind or a reinterpretation of the Koran can be easily construed as slandering Muhammad and, therefore, be punished by death?

Why are the Muslims intentionally obfuscating the truth about their religion and their intentions? Robert Spencer eloquently examines both the nature of the Muslim American propaganda methods and its purpose.

The ISC is a grand example of the big lie being told Americans—it is the Muslim disinformation campaign. Some obviously believe it.

"It is wrong to say that Muslims have simply "replaced" communists as the main threat to the West; they are but two faces of the same menace, of the closed society and the closed mind. The totalitarian nature of Islam, akin to Communism and Nazism, makes the threat different in degree to that faced during the Cold War, but not in kind. It demands a similar response."

"From issuing communiques on behalf of suicide operations to arguing how their monies were being spent by factions in the Islamic Jihad, the indictment - spanning 19 years - shows a key to Islamic terrorists' success in planting themselves in the heart of the West: the ability to deceive the public, media and government in portraying themselves as part of America's pluralist ethnic mosaic."

"The hatred of Western Civilization, and the corresponding urge to glorify anything outside it, especially if it can be depicted as a victim of the West, is a well-known phenomenon of the contemporary liberal mind. One of the forms it has taken in recent years is the attempt to artificially inflate the historic achievements of other civilizations beyond what the facts support. The noble savage myth is a commonplace; what is more complex is the myth that has been bandied about concerning the supposed "golden age" of Islamic civilization during what we know as the Middle Ages.

"The myth of an Islamic Golden Age is needed by Islam’s apologists to save it from being damned by its present squalid condition; to prove, as it were, that there is more to Islam than the terrorism of Bin Laden and the decadence of the oil sheiks. It is, frankly, a confession that if the world judges it by what it is today, it comes up rather short, being a religion that has yet to produce a democratic or prosperous society, or social and cultural forms admired by neutral foreign observers the way anyone can admire American freedom, Japanese order, Israeli courage, or Italian style."

This letter, by Peter BetBasoo, was sent to Carly Fiorina, CEO of Hewlett Packard Corporation, in response to a speech given by her on September 26, 2001.

The systematically demonstrates that every single so-called Muslim contribution to civilazation came from other sources. Excellent!

"I'm Jewish, but thanks to my Middle Eastern features, I can easily pass for an Arab. So, last week, I attended a closed (as in Muslim students only) meeting sponsored by the MSA at Queensborough Community College, just across the bridge from me in Manhattan.

"The event featured a speech about Iraq by two [Abu Yousuf and Muhammad Faheed] American-based leaders of Al-Muhajiroun, a well-known Islamic fundamentalist organization that supports the ideology of Osama bin Laden, and whose worldwide leader, Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, has long been suspected of ties with al-Qaida."

Yousuf said: "American soldiers starve, rape and murder our brothers and sisters,..."

Faheed said: "We must not recognize any government authority, or any authority at all besides Allah." "We are not Americans, ...We are Muslims." "We reject the U.N., reject America, reject all law and order. Don't lobby Congress or protest because we don't recognize Congress! The only relationship you should have with America is to topple it!" "Eventually there will be a Muslim in the White House dictating the laws of Shariah."

This somewhat confusing site is a mixture of supertition and hard information. Here is an almost endless supply of the horrors is Isalm, especially in its treatment of women, throughout the entire world.

For example, the caption to the photo (there are many more) reads: "Zarghona 15 lies in a Peshawar shelter, burned by her father-in-law, who said she had not cleaned her husband's clothes properly"

The article is mixed, (even promotes the liberal multiculturalist Bernard Lewis), but does contain this:

"Islamic fundamentalists are utopian visionaries who wish to replace Western-style liberal democracies with Islamic theocracy, a fascist system of filth that aims to control every single act of every individual," Ibn Warraq told a conference on Islam the other day, sponsored by the Council for Secular Humanism. "We must take seriously what the Islamists say to understand their motivation (of Sept. 11), that it is the divinely ordained duty of all Muslims to fight in the literal sense until manmade law has been replaced by G-d's law, the Sharia, and Islamic law has conquered the entire world."

"Science and the arts came from outside the Muslim world and in spite of the Koran and Islamic law," he told me in the tone of the patient schoolteacher he once was. "Crediting Islam for the medieval cultural glories is like crediting the Inquisition for Galileo's discoveries."

Warraq is the author of a book called Why I'm Not Muslim, which is industrial-strength blasphemy for a man born a Muslim in India.

"So, now, when you say Europe, keep in mind that the nations that compose it are increasingly home to a growing population of Muslims. Wherever a population of Muslims gains in numbers, they begin to demand autonomy or a change in the governmental structure to reflect Islamic law."

"Europe's post-war political structures were specifically designed to stifle the populace's baser urges. Indeed, Europe has been so focused on what went wrong in the past it's been blind to what might go wrong in the future. The future is now here. A collapsed birthrate, accelerating immigration, lavish welfare, an evasive political culture, phony transnational structures: For Europe, this is the Perfect Storm."

Most social scientists believe this number is too low, speaking of as many as 8 million Muslims in France (and 12 to 20 million in the European Union). These numbers underestimate the weight of French Islam, since the population is concentrated and--thanks to a birthrate that, while falling, remains a multiple of the native-French one--extremely young. In parts of Paris, Marseilles, Rhone-Alpes, and Strasbourg, between a third and half of people in their teens and twenties are Muslim. These offspring of immigrants are referred to (and refer to themselves) as beurs. More invidiously, the word jeunes (or "youths") has come to be used as a euphemism for 'Arab thugs.'"

"The Muslim Brotherhood is a forbidden movement in Egypt where it was born. It is a forbidden movement in the rest of the Arab-Muslim world. All the specialists speak of it as a dangerous, integrist Muslim movement that has only one aim: to take the political power and to impose Sharia, the Islamic law to whole countries."

"In France, it’s different: the Muslim Brotherhood can exist officially. Under its French name, Union of Islamic Organizations in France (UOIF), it is even an important part of the French Muslim council recently created by the French government."

"What race are Muslims again? This is the fourth time that Bardot, that recidivist, has been fined for inciting racial hatred -- this time for statements in her book A Scream In the Silence." H quotes the Reuters story:

In the book, she laments the “Islamization of France” and the “underground and dangerous infiltration of Islam.”

“Mme. Bardot presents Muslims as barbaric and cruel invaders, responsible for terrorist acts and eager to dominate the French to the extent of wanting to exterminate them,” the court said.

France’s 5-million-member Muslim community is the largest in Europe.

Bardot, who was not present for the verdict, denied the charges in a tearful court appearance last month, saying her book did not target Islam or people from North Africa.

"Sentencing him, Judge Neil Denison, said the killing was 'a tragic story arising out of irreconcilable cultural differences between traditional Kurdish values and those of western society.'"

"Their two victims, girls of 13, were patient, too, never crying out, at least that is what the neighbors said, and enduring the violence and abuse repeatedly over five months."

(Excellent down-to-earth irreverent criticism of the nonsense surrounding Islam.)

"Arab Israelis who travel to the shelter, whose location is a closely guarded secret, under the cover of darkness are escaping a death sentence - at the hands of their own families.

"An out-of-wedlock baby is a source of deep shame for some families in Arab society, cured only by an ancient practice called 'honor killing.'"

"The Islamic Jihad aspires to overthrow secular Arab regimes in order to establish an Islamic pan Arab empire. The Jihad is unique among the Islamic movements, however, in that it views war against the Jews and Israel ("the spearhead of the West and imperialism in the region") as an initial, essential step toward fulfilling the goals of Islam."

Four pages of Islamic horor in Indonesia. This is from a "Christian" perspective, but facts are facts, and this is a good example of how Jihad and terrorism is a world-wide phenomena.

* In Indonesia, the world's largest Islamic country, it's the sprouting of small, virulent groups of extremists calling for jihad. Some formed to help other Indonesian Muslims battling their Christian neighbors. The groups threatened to retaliate in response to US attacks on Afghanistan, and their militancy is threatening to destabilize the secular government of President Megawati Sukarnoputri, Indonesia's fourth president in 3½ years.

* In the Philippines, where the Muslim population is small, it's in the rise of a tiny but brutal extremist group with ties to Afghanistan. The Abu Sayyaf group has terrorized the southern territory of Mindanao. Members of the group have been holding two Americans hostage since May and are believed to have executed a third. The Philippines also has been a sanctuary for terrorists. Two men sentenced to life in prison for the '93 World Trade Center bombing had operated out of the Philippines, and one, Ramzi Yousef, had plotted to blow up a dozen airliners as they flew over the Far East in January 1995.

* In Malaysia, it shows up in the increasing electoral strength of an Islamic political party whose calls for an Islamic state have alarmed non-Muslims.

This book's most important distinction is Trifkovic's insistencethat the "problem [for the West] is not prejudice about Islam, but folly in the face of its violence and cruelty," manifested today in such horrors as the ongoing slaughter of Sudanese Christians and the appalling anti-Semitism of the Islamic press and such Islamic legal authorities as the mufti of Jerusalem. Trifkovic doesn't endorse war against Islam. Instead, the West must defend itself against Islamic aggression (e.g., by restricting immigration and reducing dependence on Islamic-controlled oil) and help non-Muslims oppressed in Islamic societies. Powerful stuff powerfully presented.

Why I Am Not a Muslim

Outraged by Ayatollah Khomeini's assault on Salman Rushdie, Ibn Warraq (identified only as someone having grown up in a country now called an Islamic republic, who is now living and teaching in Ohio) was galvanized to write an attack on Islam. The result is a unique book; in contrast to Rushdie's airy magical realism, Ibn Warraq brings a scholarly sledge-hammer to the task of discrediting Islam.

With few exceptions, he relies almost entirely on the Western tradition of Islamic studies for insights on such varied subjects as the person and career of Muhammad, the treatment of women, and Muslim emigration to the West. His conclusion is severe: "on balance, the effects of the teachings of the Koran have been a disaster for human reason and social, intellectual, and moral progress." From the beginning, Islam has been a fraud. Muhammad probably never existed, or if he did, had nothing to do with the Quran. Likewise, "The whole of Islamic law is but a fantastic creation founded on forgeries and pious fictions." Islam succeeded through aggression and intimidation. The early Islamic conquests, for example, were extremely aggressive: "Bowing toward Arabia five times a day must surely be the ultimate symbol of this cultural imperialism" Despite his anger, Ibn Warraq has written a serious and thought-provoking book that calls not for a wall of silence, much less a Rushdie-like fatwa on the author's life, but an equally compelling response from a believing Muslim.
