Support Freedom
by Paying the Freedom Writers
The Autonomist does not accept charitable contributions, but the Autonomist believes in supporting those promoting individual liberty, a free market, and limited government. This is a way for you to support this free market for liberty and truth.
These good writers for freedom are competing in the market of ideas. Many regard their ideas so important (and they are important) they will give them away rather than give up the fight. By voting for the writer or writers whose ideas and work you most appreciate you simultaneously support those writers and add your voice to those who are speaking out for freedom.
How to Vote
Vote for a writer by clicking that writers "button" or, to support all writers click on "The Autonomist" button. A PayPal page opens where you can make your contribution. (It is safe, easy, confidential, and simple.)
Your contribution is recorded as a "vote" for the writer you selected. Voting determines how the writers are paid. You may vote as many times as you like, even for the same writer if you choose. Your contribution may be any amount, but votes accompanying contributions of less than $2.00 will not be counted.
Distributions
All contributions are pooled and all distributions are made from that pool.
Distributions to writers are made quarterly and are based on a point system:
A writer receives one point for each article or work published in a quarter. A writer also receives one point for each vote received in a quarter. Exclusive articles by established writers receive two points each plus two points for each vote.
At the end of a quarter, 10% of the total funds in the contributions pool are deducted for the operation of The Autonomist. The remaining 90% amount is divided by the sum of all writer's points for that quarter to determine the dollar value of each point. Each writer receives that "point value" multiplied by the number of points received in that quarter.
